Specific varieties grown in specific areas
The guiding principal behind the development of this range is an even more rigorous selection of specific fruit varieties grown on specific soils. In the same way as wine growers choose their grape varieties, we choose specific varieties of fruit, such as the Williams pear and we obtain a limited quantity of the fruit from very small areas. For example the Williams pear is grown for us in the Alps, France.
Specific growing methods
To reinforce the organoleptic qualities of these fruits, we work closely with the fruit farmers regarding the growing methods used. Consequently, fruit trees undergo very hard pruning to ensure the quality of the remaining fruit. Our technical specifications are just as rigorous, limiting the use of pesticides. Products in our “Vintage” - Grands Crus - range may not always be available from year to year precisely because of these specifications, so much more demanding than for our other fruit purées.
