Two days with Nina Métayer


On Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 June, the entire Capfruit team had the pleasure of sharing a special moment with the renowned pastry chef, Nina Métayer!

After a double degree in baking and pastry-making, Nina Métayer won the famous title of Pastry Chef of the Year two years in a row, even before she turned 30. Today, she juggles her different hats: pastry chef, consultant and entrepreneur.


For two days, we shared with her our company philosophy: "fruit from the ground to the plate"!


To do this, we headed to the farms of our Cap'Source producers to visit and discover their production methods.

The morning began in style, in the orchards of white peaches, Nina Métayer's favourite fruit. The weather is with us, and the sun reveals the orange colour of the fruit!

We continue with a visit to a raspberry and strawberry farm, where we are warmly welcomed by our producer. On the programme: presentation of his different farms and explanations on his production method, with notably a plantation of strawberries above ground.

Here we become aware of the beautiful complicity that has developed between Antoine, our purchasing manager, and his producers.

We end this day in the Bergeron apricot orchards and in the Black down and Noir de Bourgogne blackcurrants, where Nina surveys the alleys on a quad bike, alongside our producer.

On Tuesday, we were back in our production plant, discovering the backstage of Capfruit. Nina Métayer was thus able to discover our way of respectfully transforming the fruits, to respect their multiple organoleptic qualities.

Unsurprisingly, these two days will end with a tasting of our fruit purees !
