Our Mara des Bois strawberries are grown in Portugal, in the Algarve. This small strawberry, with a firm flesh and an intense purple red color, is naturally sweet, thanks to the strong sunshine offered by this region of southern Portugal.
Recognizable, among all, by its woody and sweet scent, with a hint of acidity, the Mara des Bois strawberry likes light, rich soils, without excess humidity.
The Mara des bois strawberry is a remontant variety that is harvested by hand, with great care, from June until the first frost. Our expertise and the collaboration with our partner-producer allow us to eliminate any treatment, during and after the harvest, and to preserve the cultivated land in a sustainable way.
The processing steps are reduced to the strict minimum, to preserve all the organoleptic qualities of the fruit. Non-pasteurized, Fruit'Purée Strawberry Mara des Bois is 100% no added sugar other than those naturally present in the fruit.
